1. Battery-Related

Why does the app say "Battery Unplugged" on the home page?

This message may appear for two reasons:

  • The battery has been physically removed from the bike.
  • The battery power is too low and needs to be charged.

Battery Level - Remote Monitoring

With the Tenways app, you can conveniently check your battery level even when you're not near your bike.

Battery Range Estimate

When adjusting the pedal assist level via the bike's control dash board, the app will estimate your remaining battery range accordingly.

Note: The estimated range shown in the app tends to be on the conservative side. It is based on an internal calculation and may not always reflect the actual riding range.

2. Bluetooth Unlock Feature

Once you enable the Bluetooth Unlock feature, every time you restart the bike, you must connect the app via Bluetooth to unlock it. Otherwise, the bike will not be operable, and the three battery leds will keep blinking in green together when you press the buttons.

  • This feature is off by default.
  • To enable or disable it, connect your phone to your bike via Bluetooth and configure it in the app. You are not able to do it when you are not with the bike.

3. Movement Features

The movement sensor helps monitor your bike’s status. In the app, under "Learn About Smart Functions", you will find detailed illustrations for features such as:

  • Movement detection
  • Fall detection
  • Bike restored position
  • Entering or exiting a safe zone

These visual guides provide a clear understanding of how the movement sensors function.

 Slight Movement Feature Settings

Under the "Slight Movement" settings, you can configure:

  • Notification Frequency: Choose an interval between 10 seconds to 30 minutes.
  • Priority Level (1-5): Adjusts the sensitivity of the sensor, with 5 being the most sensitive.

4. Smart Connect Auto Record

The Smart Connect Auto Record feature allows your rides to be automatically recorded when you ride the bike—no need to take out your phone.

5. Remote Bike Location Tracking

You can check your bike's location remotely via the Tenways app. However, keep in mind:

  • GPS signals will not work if the bike is under roofs or stored indoors.

6. Updating the Smart Connect Module Firmware

To update the firmware of your Smart Connect module:

  1. On the app's home page, tap on your bike.
  2. On the bike page, scroll down to the bottom and tap "Smart Connect".
  3. The app shows your current firmware version and lets you know if an update is available.
  4. If an update is available, you can follow the prompts on the app to install it.
